Qui suis-je ? – About me

JLO are my initials and it is the nickname that the international Laverda community has finally given me.

In 2001, I created the www.laverdamania.net website to help all those who had problems obtaining information or finding spare parts . In 2003 came the first Laverdamania forum, which still exists today. Little by little, a community based on mutual aid has been created and Laverdamania became a key player for all Laverda enthusiasts.
At the same time, I wrote several specialized books: “Legendary Laverda” (Ed. ETAI, 2006), “Laverda, die komplette Historie” (Ed. HEEL, 2007), “Laverda 1000 V6, Formula 1 on 2 wheels” in cooperation with M.Piero Laverda (Ed. ASD Laverda Corse, 2016), “Tierra del Fuego-Alaska Raid in Laverda 750” (Ed. JLO Editions, 2018), “Laverda, the mythical motorcycles of Breganze” (Ed. ETAI, 2019), “Minibook Technical” n° 1 and n° 2 (Ed JLO Editions, 2020 and 2021).
Several meetings were organized under the aegis of Laverdamania. One of the most major international Laverda meetings occured in 2018 with 180 Laverda machines parading at the Paul Ricard circuit. In 2021, Laverdamania celebrated its 20th anniversary and an Association of the same name was created alongside the website to further expand the scope of services provided to Laverdists. This Association is now run by real enthusiasts, faithful for a long time to the spirit of Laverdamania.

During this same period, the Covid crisis and the end of activity of a few renowned specialists led to a drop in available stock of spare parts and a surge in prices. The creation of JLO-TECH aims to try to build up a stock of parts in France in order to facilitate orders, initiate remanufacturing programs and keep prices at a reasonnable level as far as possible, despite this particular context.
JLO-TECH’s approach is therefore to help enthusiasts, in addition to other suppliers, in order to help you to keep your bikes on the road.
